Is It Your First Time Surfing?
At Calima Surf School, we will teach you to enjoy the great waves whether you are a beginners or an advanced surfer.
Our great teaching and friendly surf instructors, certified by the British Surfing Association, guarantee that you will be surfing in just 20 hours. At our surf camp in Lanzarote, you will also learn all the necessary safety measures for practicing this wonderful sport, including the sea cycle, tides, rips, currents, weather, winds, seabeds, and everything you need to know to surf independently in the near future.
Our instructors speak English, French, Italian and Spanish.

BEGINNER SURF CLASSES
Great Surf Courses from half a day to 10 days to learn to surf in one of the best beaches!
Typical Surf Course Schedule:
- 09:00 Pickup at the Hotel
- 09:50 Arrival at Calima Surf School
- 10:00 The lesson begins at the beach! Warm-up, stretching, easy exercises, theory and practice on the beach… and then in the water!
- 12:00 – 12:30 Relaxation time to rest
- 12:30 – 14:30 Back in the water! Surfing with personal attention and correction of individual errors
- 14:30 Return to Calima Surf School and back to the hotel
The Surf Course Includes:
- Transport to/from Hotel/Calima Surf School (Costa Teguise and Puerto del Carmen – minimum 2 people)
- Civil liability insurance
- Surf equipment
- 1 day of Drysurf Training System classes
- Your surfing course certification (5 days)
- Photos Gratis Tuesday and Friday from 10.00h to 12.00h
You can choose between surf courses ranging from half a day to 14 days.
Learn to surf in our surf courses lasting from half a day to 5, 7 or 10 days with four hours of lessons each day.
Beginners Lessons are held in the morning, at 10:00, in Famara Beach. You’ll learn from our team of certified instructors through theoretical and practical lessons. In addition, you’ll have a photo analysis session to detect and correct mistakes, one DrySurf Functional Balance session and a level accreditation certificate included in 5-day or longer beginner surf courses.

Intermediate Surf camp: These surf courses range from minimum 3 nights accoommodation in the surf camp to 14 days, for students with some surfing experience. Groups are limited to no more than 8 students. Courses include accommodation and Functional Surfing Balance, a certificate, and two photos sessions starting from the 5th day.
Private Surf Lessons: Our private surf courses range from 1 to 10 days. Each day includes two-hour lessons, equipment, transport to the school, and video analysis starting from the 3rd day.
Surf Lessons for Children: We offer surf courses for children over 10 years of age, starting with a minimum of 1 day of lessons. Courses include equipment, qualified and experienced surf instructors and lifeguards, transport to the beach, free WiFi, and liability insurance.
